After studying a selection of poems that Bent Robinson, Williams Jessie and Ramírez Dawkins wrote in English, or in a mixture of English and Islander Kriol, and translated into Spanish, we aim at, first, understanding the mechanisms of divergence and convergence of these self-translated texts and, second, at analyzing some of the possible factors that make these rhizomatic productions occupy a peripheral position within the Colombian literary polysystem, such as the publishing and diffusion processes, the monolinguistic episteme of the region or the debut of kriol as a literary language.
