Abstract:

In the context of the problematization of the modes of subjection/submission in contemporary French philosophy, the issue of subjectivation is analysed and related to a possible understanding of politics as a dimension of antagonism and permanent struggle in texts by Michel Foucault and Jacques Rancière. The issue is analysed in three sections: the characterization of the problem of the modes of desubjectivation in their possible relation with political antagonism; a description of the aesthetic experience of Alberto Greco as a scene of antagonistic desubjectivation of politics; and, as a conclusion, the enunciation of some assumptions of an “antagonistic ontology of politics”.
