Colombia continues to unrelentingly critique Le Corbusier' s urbanism, particularly the 1950 Pilot Plan for Bogotá. The reasons for this almost never focus on debating the project, but they are instead clichéd phrases that seem to simply hide the ignorance of the project itself. In 2016, a referendum for peace was held in Colombia, and the No camp was victorious. The media directed messages at the public both supporting and rejecting the both sides of the argument. One of these messages was the following, "Historians spend their time studying the reality that is created by people who do not study history". Bogotá is crying out for the plan to be studied.
