The Bioengineering program of the University of Antioquia has undergone several curricular changes since its creation in 2001, responding to the needs of the labor market and looking for a high-quality program. From its beginning, the problem-based learning methodology has been used through the realization of integrative semester projects as a training strategy for research at the undergraduate level. The Program has also grown internationally with internships and dual degree agreements. In 2012 the high-quality accreditation was obtained and it is currently in the process of re-accreditation. This article presents and discusses the dynamics of the curriculum of the Bioengineering program according to regulatory compliance, the growth of lines of emphasis, the increase of curriculum flexibility, the maintenance of integrative semester projects, the growth in processes of internationalization, and the appreciation of the external sector and the graduates. As a result, it is described the current version of the curriculum with five areas of emphasis, a curriculum flexibility of 16%, an improvement in international homologation processes, the inclusion of elective and research subjects, and the concept that the graduates and employers have on the training processes is evaluated.
