Through a modification on the parameters associated with generating function of the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M2"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-extensions for the Apostol type polynomials of order <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M3"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> and level <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M4"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>, we obtain some new results related to a unified presentation of the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M5"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-analog of the generalized Apostol type polynomials of order <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M6"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> and level <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M7"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>. In addition, we introduce some algebraic and differential properties for the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M8"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-analog of the generalized Apostol type polynomials of order <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M9"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> and level <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M10"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> and the relation of these with the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M11"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Stirling numbers of the second kind, the generalized <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M12"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Bernoulli polynomials of level <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M13"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>, the generalized <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M14"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Apostol type Bernoulli polynomials, the generalized <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M15"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Apostol type Euler polynomials, the generalized <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M16"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Apostol type Genocchi polynomials of order <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M17"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> and level <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M18"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>, and the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M19"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>-Bernstein polynomials.
