Religion without God, Ronald Dworkin's posthumously published book, is a suggestive work by the American philosopher of law about the relationships between believers and nonbelievers. This short book has four chapters: “Religious Atheism?,” “The Universe,” “Religious Freedom,” and “Death and Immortality.” I will focus on discussing the concept of religion as understood within the framework of what Dworkin calls ethical independence—that is, that religion is just another type of conviction like any other held by individuals.
