South American countries are not in the top of E-Government development, As a proof of this, in the E-Government Develop Index survey given by the United Nations, no country of the region have been in the top 20 of the index. Additionally, from the first survey to the last in 2016, no one have been cataloged with a very high score of development. Even worse according to the same survey all countries in South America have regressed relative to the rest of the world. In this paper is analyzed the South America E-Government performance based in the United Nation surveys taking into account the each subindexes that composed the surveys and comparing the region with the E-Government top countries in 2016. Finally, it is suggested a set of strategies that could help to improve the index values.
