Abstract:

This article is part of the results of the research project entitled encounter between university, media and school: an analysis of 20 years of work of The Newspapers in Education Program in the schools of Medellin, from the narrative of the participating subjects. The research has been developed by the interagency agreement between The Newspapers in Education Program from El Colombiano newspaper, the University of San Buenaventura (USB), and Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB). The methodological approach was qualitative, on a descriptive level. An inclusive multiple cases study design with multiple units of analysis was used, which, in the case of this study, it is The Newspapers in Education Program at the stage of schools participating in the program during these 20 years in the city of Medellin and its surrounding municipalities. The study results show the pedagogical use of school media as mediating elements in school learning processes.
