This paper proposes to think about the subject and the scopic jouissance in social networks. We take Facebook as representative device, considered a kind of ‘social epidemic problem’. Then we think about the subject as captured by the modality of scopic jouissance, articulating the gaze as object a and the implication of subjects in the sociability technologies; resulting in the predominance of the scopic in the social conjuncture from the preponderance of image in networks and the militarization of cyberspace. We seek to understand how this capture is articulated with the structure of both the subjects and the social, contributing from the psychoanalytic argument.
