This reflection is the result of the findings obtained from the study entitled “and he spoke many things in parables: a pedagogical resource for teacher training” that used a phenomenological-hermeneutic methodology from the perspective of Max Van Manen (2003), aiming to understand the experience of professors from regional and international contexts in pedagogical reflection, using parables as a formative resource. Conclusions firstly reveals that the educational system needs to create new knowledge based on the consolidation of pedagogical reflection as a formative practice and, secondly, that the use of Master Jesus’s parables as a resource for reflection can create relevant knowledge in professors’ training processes.
