Objective.This research article aims to show the results of the project held at the Integrated Technical Institute of the Municipality of Trinidad, Casanare, carried out from July 2015 to November 2016.Why do we evaluate as we evaluate?This is the question that gave origin to the research project and whose general objective was to characterize the evaluative practices of the fourth and fifth grade teachers.Methodology.This project was carried out in three phases.The first one consisted in diagnosing the most common assessment practices among teachers; the second moment was focused on the characterization of the evaluation processes of the teachers.Finally, the third phase culminated in the development of two pedagogical workshops in which spaces of discussion and reflection were opened, around the paradigms addressed by teachers in their classroom practices with greater emphasis on evaluations.Results.The research project recognized the high value that teachers give to understanding concepts and the need to strengthen other types of practices such as behavior assessment; in addition to creating spaces that allow the continuous reflection of classroom practices with greater emphasis on evaluations.
