The distribution of Microgenys minuta (Characiformes, Characidae) is expanded to include the area from the mid-upper section of the Cauca River and the high stretch of the Magdalena River to the middle portion of the Magdalena River Basin, based on specimens collected in piedmont streams of Santander Department, Colombia.
