In this work an assessment of domain fields of ergonomics and interaction between person, ergonomics, development and society is made, taking into account the most frequent health of workers associated with working conditions. As a novel element analysis on the behavior of ergonomic graphic indicators it is provided according to the condition of the site and design of the workplace and the results obtained in implementing the method of evaluating individual risks (ERIN) in the Faculty of Science mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (FCMFQ) of the Technical University of Manabí (UTM), allowing to identify the importance of ergonomics as a science to reduce the negative social impacts related to the health of workers and the proper development of the educational process and research in Higher Education Institution.
