Microcapsules has been widely used in different industries, pharmaceuticals to textiles; due to its ability to transport and control release of specific compounds, with this dosage techniques were improved release process compared to conventional methods. Fibers and garments have been functionalized in textile industry, enhance mechanical, chemical and others properties for its applications as an added value of these elements; those as humectation, thermal sensitivity, fragrance, and UV skin protection; according to its developments, want to functionalize these garments to obtain repellent properties on them, as an alternative to avoid or reduce transmissions of various virus, avoiding the contact of species vector Aedes aegypti. In this work, partial results of extraction active compounds with insects repellent effect were presented; determining high concentrations on Cordoncillo. Compared to Cymbopogon citratus –Citronella- and Ocimum tenuiflorum -albahaca lima-. Encapsulated process was performed with two different methods, complex coacervation1 on gel matrix and alginate matrix2. Microencapsulation stability were evaluated for each one,presented good mechanical results for both of them.
