This paper presents the use of the graph of desire in the construction of a clinical case as a methodological strategy in the research project "Aggressiveness in contemporary society: a perspective of the psychoanalytic clinic", Proposed to obtain a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Psychological Research of the Universidad Veracruzana. From the presentation of a clinical case, the outlines of the graph of desire are shown, those presented by Lacan in Seminar V, The Formations of the Unconscious (1957-1958), to explain, from the conformation of the chains of signifiers, the three times of the Oedipus and their effect in the transmission of the Law.
