This paper proposes the case construction as a resource to formalize a research experience on a non-clinical object of study from a psychoanalytic approach. This leads to the reflection of the epistemological, empirical, theoretical, and methodological relationship between the subject and the object of inquiry. The case construction is a means to show the encounter between the researcher and his/her object of study, the former putting a strain on the theory through his pronouncements. This document is part of the methodological considerations on a doctoral research.
