The removal of contaminants from a combined wastewater (domestic and livestock) considers the use of treatment technologies such as trickling filters, with beds in polyvinylchloride (PVC) and recirculation of effluents, for reducing the measurable organic load as chemical demand oxygen (COD); experimental results indicate that the removal of COD were above 60%, the pH presented a range of 6.5 to 7.0 and the average value of the constant kinetics of degradation in the filter was 0.175 d-1.
