CIAT's Tropical Pastures Program is concerned with solving the problems of low productivity in acid, marginal, and frontier lands by developing new, low-input technology based on adapted germplasm. Its tropical pasture germplasm collection is the world's largest for acid soils in tropical humid and sub-humid areas.
