The museum as a building for its historical trajectory, acts as a container for storing objects, whether they are art or science and technology articles. Thus, the museum acts as like acontainer of a major actor, its content. This scenario, necessarily assumes a posture in relationto its content in order to dialogue with it or not. The Museu das Missões case is an interestingexample of two areas of heritage conservation strategy, the objects of memory and architecture, put into dialogue. The relationship between container and content established in this museumis a contextual identity relationship. This research shows the importance of the rich relationshipof dialogue between architectural heritage and other material heritage, making it clear that interpreting either independently would not be as rich as the way the assembly was maintained bydesign strategy adopted.
