The issue of attitudes has been addressed in recent years most frequently by educational researchers in their quest to explain the academic performance of students. Measurements of the same has been, on many occasions through direct observation of the actions carried out by persons and others with the implementation of tests psychometric offered to the community generally interesting that serve to explain specific behaviors results. Thanks to these contributions from psychology, have been designed and validated some instruments in the field of education for the purpose of measuring the attitudes of students towards an object in particular disciplines of the school curriculum. In the case of science, the researchers have designed and validated a protocol of attitudes towards science (Cap). Its adaptation to Colombia, the research group took ten items which were used to identify the attitudes of students towards science serving content, scientific work and achievements of the science categories. To do so was made a study of descriptive type to a population of 34 institutions educational of the municipality of Sincelejo. The sample was calculated taking into account 90% reliability and 10% error, separating from the rural sector for a total of 18 educational institutions. In each of them the instrument was applied to a course of the degree once for a total of 727 students. The analysis of the results obtained, shows that a large percentage of students have favorable attitudes to the contents of the sciences, towards the work of scientists and science achievements. Also expresses that a large percentage of students show moderately favorable attitudes towards the studied categories of analysis.
