This article is a theoretical reflection on the role of the family as a mediator device between distal risk variables derived from social violence and proximal protection variables resulting of a capable resilient family. It also addresses the issue of identity in those boys and girls that are in situation of displacement, taking into account that little has been discussed about the consequences of having mobile life experiences when developing a sense of belonging in the construction of identities which may affect child development, considering the emotional core of the experience of identity, bearing in mind that the emotional core of the experience of identity, means to remain stable through different circumstances and the successive transformations that occur in life.
