Abstract:

It reports the development of a paper, It is reported the development of a paper obtained from pineapple pulp cellulose, with added value in the non-use of chemicals such as caustic soda, magnesium sulfate, sodium benzoate among others, making it an environmentally friendly, biodegradable and environmentally friendly paper. The methodology used consisted of separating the lignin and cellulose from the buds of the pineapple, mixing for 24 hours chunks smaller than 0.5 cm2 of buds, in an extract solution obtained from sugar cane and water, with percentages by weight Of 35%, 12% and 53% respectively. After the cellulose was obtained, and the lignin removed, a solution of 11.5 g / L of sodium hypochlorite was added over one hour. After washing and sieving, using an ASTM No. 40 sieve, the drying process was at room temperature for 24 hours, and finally the paper was formed by manual pressing using a loading of approximately 0.3 kgf/cm 2. Our results allowed us to obtain an ecological paper with a Kimberly type texture, which was used in black and white as well as color laser printing, showing good adhesion of the ink and malleability during the printing process, confirming its use as a substitute for paper normal.
