The article aims to answer a key question that arises in the context of the Colombian peace process: in what sense is it possible to talk about “justice” or establish a “fair” situation within a conflictive background like the one that has distinguished the history of Colombia? It addresses this question from two diRerent perspectives, being the first one a philosophical-moral perspective, while the second is mainly a sociological one. Bearing in mind the last perspective, the article proposes that legitimation of the projected social order and power structures might be achieved by basing it on symbolic ideas and by presenting a socio-constructive reasoning.
