This work was aimed to make the characterization of tourists that visit to the cities of Girardot and Ricaurte. The information was collected through the survey technique, a structured closed questions in hotels, transport terminals, tourist attractions, streets, malls and condominiums in the two cities during the month of August 2016 was applied form. The size of the sample (n= 508) was made using simple random sampling. The obtained data have large dispersion which five categories segmentation analysis was made.The obtained data from this research have a tourist with heterogeneous characteristics, variables analysis was made through frequency analysis. To finish an assessment that measures the perception of visitors on tourist services and expectations offered at this destination was made.
