This paper presents a systemic approach to organizational management theory by analyzing basic considerations of traditional management theory, and offering a comparison between traditional management models and contemporary theoretical developments. We built a framework supported by documental review and the analysis of the main business management propositions, the features that determine the named simplistic orientation of this field, and the proposal that Corporate Social Responsibility carries as a systemic approach for business management. In consequence, a hybrid notion of organizational management is developed, in which traditional conceptions converge with the ample paradigmatic views of contemporary approach.
