Abstract:

The article shows the results of a qualitative research which sought to understand the institutional discourses about teaching present in educational policies at a public university in North Santander from five categories: skills, teaching methods, evaluation, role of the teacher and the student. The methodological guidelines are based on qualitative analysis of speech vertically, allowing understand the main statements that are part of the speeches of the teaching category with reference documents rigor of the institution, as well as documents and Nursing programs Systems Engineering the University Francisco de Paula Santander (Cúcuta) that were part of this work. The study does show idealistic speeches, where the theoretical and methodological routes of institutional documents are constructed on the basis of the social transformation of local, regional and national scenarios, and new approaches to teaching - learning
