After Amazon internationalization proposal to save against destruction, a debate has led to a strategic value of this forest as a reserve. This paper offers a concept analysis, rather than material, of the Amazon that involves questioning theoretical assumptions based on classical theories of foreign affairs. Instead, we propose other theoretical perspective of the foreign operation from daily power practices. For that, we start from a new understanding of the power concept based on Michel Foucault’s approach that matches the international study to postcolonial and subordinate models.
