This study focuses on the media discourses on the phenomenon of violences (in plural) in Argentine schools.Given the characteristics of the object of inquiry, a methodological approach was used and the information was analyzed in the framework of the discourse in social and educational research .According to the results, two dimensions characterizing youngsters are highlighted: the emotional dimension and the aesthetic dimension.Because of its originality, this work constitutes a precedent for future inquiries on the characterization of the so-called violent youngsters in the school.
