This investigation took on the topic of education and its role in the constructive settling of conflicts based on the school's obligation to face strifes through different alternatives, besides violence and aggression, such as the use of dialogue as a way to reach agreements, taking into account conflict as something inherent and natural to humans. This contributes to the development of reflective, autonomous and participative citizens, this investigation was meant to analize and test the proposals made by the National Ministry of Education related to citizen competencies and Bogota's Secretary of Education focused towards the constructive management of conflicts in schools. This investigation was developed from a qualitative point of view, which through documentary analysis allowed us to establish the following key aspects: capabilities, competencies, citizenship and conflict, afterwards we address pedagogic performance divided into emotions and strategies to manage conflicts. Lastly we reference the pedagogic proposals which allow the development of comparative matrices which evidence how this proposals complement each other in the development of citizens in an educational context.
