ABSTRACT. The lesions that appear on the structures that compromise the oral cavity, can be quite varied and manifest themselves in different forms such as changes in color or texture, swelling, tumor, among other sores, and can produce pain, itching, irritation and inflammation. We should consider that any of these events is a sign of alarm to the dentist deems necessary to perform a biopsy, in order to be subjected to histological studies and able to deliver an assessment to determine the therapeutic treatment.
