The research project Characterization audience profile of Radio Catolica sought to rigorously describe the main features of the regular and potential listeners of this important amplitude modulated transmitter, which covers the city of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area. Characterizing the profile of the audience of a mass media is essential for decision making within media companies since this input allows making strategic determinations regarding the quality and composition of programming, as well as social and financial support actions. For the development of this research, a descriptive and mixed study was proposed. The habits and consumer preferences of the audience of this radio station will be heard through uantitative and qualitative information gathering techniques in several sectors of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga to ensure getting enough detailed data to allow the typification of the Radio Catolica Metropolitana listener’s profile.
