Evaluative practices of teachers in its pedagogical exercise have been an issue challenged by how direct students affected, by parents and other members of the educational communities. This study aims at the characterization of the evaluative practices of teachers of mathematics of the institution Los Palmitos Sucre - Colombia. The results were obtained through a survey application online, answered by a total of 67 participants from a representative sample of grades 6 through 11 of basic secondary education and academic Media. You were asked about shapes, types, instruments, uses and consistency between the content of the evaluation with the programs developed in periods of classes of a school year. As discovery found that teachers object of study are not excessively away from trends and guidelines that currently come giving educators on the topic of evaluation of the performances of students in the educational process. However, teachers who have not yet articulated their educational practices to the true purposes of education and trends in this area, represent a weakness that is significant to correct since there is a risk of promoting or failing students away from reality and educational context or unfair way. Is recommended to educational institutions set up a system of permanent and continuous assessment, with clear and criteria consistent with the implications of what is today known as comprehensive training; to attend the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the person your daily performance in school.
