The constant development of information technology and communication has opened up new learning opportunities, and it has recognized the potential of new technologies and ways they can be exploited, therefore, it has increased the number of digital technology applications that support teaching and learning. In these cases, Technology has also had a great boom to support collaborative learning. Taking into account that the collaborative process divides into three phases: Pre-Process, Process and Post-Process, is why in this paper evaluates the formal definition of mechanisms for monitoring, evaluation and improvement of a collaborative process, in the activities Process phase. The results of case studies were done, indicated that it is not enough to provide a group of people some activity and a software tool; it is also necessary to analyze all the external factors that can influence this process, principally: characteristics of groups, activities and technology. In addition to involving the use of a tool that contains the necessary mechanisms that allow the teacher perform monitoring and evaluation of the process to execute necessary activities to improve the collaborative process. So an improved process model was obtained, which is from the analysis of the data generated in the case studies.
