This article presents the results of the analysis product of public policies, that have been established in the tourism sector of Coastal Subregion, including the municipalities of Tubará, Juan de Acosta, Usiacurí and Piojó in the Atlantic departament. The research is qualitative, descriptive and correlational. It sources information were consulted are analyzing the rules, laws, and policies, analysis of the different development plans of the municipalities were performed and conducted visit to the municipalities of the subregion as well as related institutions tourism sector. Also, open interviews were applied with tourism officials of municipalities. To this end, a literature search on the topic under study, which was confronted with the results of the research was conducted. It was evident, the existence of public policies governing the tourism sector, with Law 1558 of 2012, which determines the promotion, development, promotion, competitiveness of the sector and regulation of tourism, through the mechanisms necessary for the creation, maintenance, protection and utilization of the resources and tourist attractions. The subregion has a wide range of attractions in which a description thereof is performed.
