This paper presents the results of an academicresearch project regarding the level of importance of different factors influencing decision making in the process of student mobility of the industrial engineering program at the University of La Salle in Bogota, Colombia. The study used the method of collecting information from primary sourcesin this case 49 students enrolled in the above mentioned academic program all of whom evaluated 9 pre-determined factors previously criticized in student mobility and student sharing between various institutions of higher education within and beyond the country. Finally data analysis using the technique of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) shows a scale of factors which makes it possible to identify those with the highest prevalence for students when making decisions about their mobility, with which is expected to implement future strategies that allow a greater emphasis on available educational destinations.
