There appears in this text the characterization of the poblamiento and the metropolización of the territory of Bucaramanga's metropolitan area, from the investigation on his configuration.In the first moment it is exposed on Bucaramanga's Villa, followed of Bucaramanga's review as a villa that he acquires centralidad political and commercial in the province, and in the region.Finally, a study is checked on the way of the metropolización of the metropolitan area and the consolidation and institutionalization of Bucaramanga's metropolitan area.
