Following the congenital Zika virus syndrome (CZVS) epidemics in Brazil and the retrospective recognition of the French Polynesia cases, it was expected that similar cases were about to be diagnosed in other countries. This study focuses in the description of the first cases of CZVS diagnosed in Colombia and their similarities with the Brazilian ones. We acquire relevant data from 12 CZVS cases reported through the International Fetal Neurology Network starting from February 2016. Patients reported symptoms of ZVI starting from October 2015. The median gestational age at the beginning of the disease was 10 weeks (range 6–20). The first signs of the disease were observed at a mean GA of 28 weeks (range 21–34). In 11 the findings were consider severe and included multiple CNS involvement. Until the writing of this abstract only 2 have been delivered. One patient was asymptomatic but found to be seropositive for ZVIgG. In this patient the amniocentesis was negative and there were no signs of disease by US/MRI at 34 weeks. As in Brazil we are probably diagnosing the most severe cases and patients will less severe involvement continue to remain undiagnosed. Eleven out of 12 of our cases have a very severe prognosis.
