High quality public transportation systems are considered a critical factor for a city's economic and social progress.In Bogota, recent urban development has become a great challenge for the current transportation system by requiring more efficiency and an adequate level of service in terms quality, security, and access.ITIL, on the other hand, has become a standard in providing Information Technology (IT), demonstrating the best the industry has in terms of operational efficiency, increasing its availability, and improving communication with clients.This paper aims to present the results of the applicability of ITIL on a service unrelated to IT as is the public transportation system in Bogota SITP.
