The EEPE emerges as a proposal that promotes research diverse topics typical of ecology, in EEPE it is intended students to explore their environment getting in these way real learnings.Within this proposal there is one essential aspect, the development of guides, which are recognized as educational materials designed from the recognition of nearby natural environments for students (Feinsinger; 2002, p. 72).For this reason as a result of the implementation of the EEPE (modified) proposal.The design of a natural guide that accounts for the research process generated by the IED Nueva Colombia school and continues the process initiated within the institution as a way to encourage research in the classroom was developed.For the design of the guide Juan Amarillo Wetland branch was described (adjacent space to the IED Nueva Colombia school).In the time of the implementation of EEPE the research site with Nueva Colombia school sixth grade students was recognized.After that some insects and wetland plants were collected, which were determined and described from the observed with students and from the literature, resulting in the development of a natural guide of the Juan Amarillo wetland branch.This guide was carried out as a way to provide educational materials to teachers which are appropriate to their needs and can be used in their classrooms (Feinsinger; 2009, p. 110).
