Santander has specialized in providing adventure and health tourism services, and the department of Quindío bases its offer from agro tourism and ecotourism services around the coffee culture. For this Colombian departments it was not enough just to have natural resources, it has been necessary to invest in deepening the understanding, planning and managing tourism under conditions of responsibility, sustainability and competitiveness, in order to promote the development of local and regional skills.This article analyzes and compares the experience of the two regions.
