Currently there is not a unique professional profile definition. However, many different definitions given by literature converge around fundamental aspects. These allow us establish that a professional profile is a set of characteristics expected by a recent graduate; in this case, these characteristics pertain to knowledge and skills associated to a curriculum. Professional profile concept is implicitly linked to curricular assessment, due to the establishment of profiles gives the guidelines to create or improve curricula. In this work, we propose a methodology to quantify profiles of recent graduates through a quantitative assessment of knowledge and skills associated to a curriculum. Our methodology has been applied to Electrical Engineering curriculum from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The model presented in this paper allows to contrast two profiles kinds: an acquired profile and an expected profile; this comparison transforms to this model in a potential tool in curricula selfassessment and continuous improvement process.
