This article aims to show the settings that established the legal aspects of the funding to high performance sport in Brazil.To analyze this legal framework, we took the Game Theory of Norbert Elias as our basis, which comes as an important step to understand the power relations in this complex configuration formed around funding for Brazilian high performance sport.In conclusion, it is pointed out that although there is investment by the government, there is not an efficient policy that can evaluate the benefits of these amounts in high performance sport in the country yet.
