The concept of research is increasingly associated with everyday life, turning obsolete the close relationship it used to have with the application of the traditional scientific method, highlighting that there are alternatives to generate new knowledge forms in a context where the convergence between disciplines to address real problems is needed. These new conditions in research question the separation between research and creation. The concept of research-creation generates a debate in the current Colombian scene, where there has been finally and officially, a space for the recognition of the products of creative disciplines. Similarly, it is proposed that this new form of research has the potential to be appropriate for disciplines different from the creative ones, but that could use creativity to their research output.
