Objective. To evaluate validity and reliability of Dysexecutive Questionnaire (DEX) scale, in a sample of Chilean adults both with and without neurodegenerative disorders. Method. The sample involved 28 healthy individuals (control group), and 30 individuals diagnosed with dementia, belonging to Salvador Hospital, in Santiago de Chile city. The sample was characterized by applying a battery of seventeen neuropsychological test in order to measure cognitive, behavioral, emotional, functional and DEX scale aspects. Obtained data was analyzed through descriptive statistic, the concurrent validity degree of the scale was determined by using bi-varied correlations; in addition, the density and specificity psychometric characteristics were determined by using the area under the curve (ROC). Results. It was found a significant correlation among DEX and cognitive, frontal, functional and neuropsychiatric aspects, with emotional aspects. ROC curve determined a closing point with a density of 70%, and 85,7% specificity. Conclusion. The DEX has a proper sensibility, specificity and validity concurrent for detection of dis-executive syndrome.
