The person who considers urban action to be a form of artistic action focused on urban space makes it susceptible to be analysed in relation to the evolution and influences that originate from conceptual art, from its beginnings in the second half of the twentieth century. This analogy is equal to comparing how removing works of art form galleries generates the reconsideration of space in minimalist sculpture with how the transformation of public space is conceived by intervening in the landscape. Lastly, performance art, the happening and its written record have contributed to the definition of urban action's current possibilities.
