This article is not about Borges, but without considering him perhaps it would not make sense. My interest in a quite singular poet (Luis Rogelio Nogueras) took me to widen the focus of my analysis towards the literary field within which he forged himself. Why, if he mentions other writers to whom he owes certain stimuli, he does not mention the writer to whom he owes more. Being this a reconfigured literary field at that time, I had to take into account some particularities of it in order to try to explain those omissions and by doing so, more fully appraise this poet’s creative project.
