This article presents an overview of occupational therapy education in Colombia. It focuses on aspects which show progress throughout the years: curriculum orientation, fieldwork training, management of academic programs, and association of schools offering occupational therapy. It also comments on challenges related to accreditation; graduate education; and uniqueness, effectiveness and social pertinence of human services offered.
