In recent years, the governing bodies of the Autonomous Communities have assumed the guardianship of adults who for various reasons have no relatives that can take care of them.First we analyze the figure of guardianship from the legal perspective.Then two common examples of adults under the care of the government are described.Finally, we present some aspects of a comparative study on guardianship in different regions.
