Exploration methods for S-wave velocity structure using microtremor array measurement, e. g., the Spacial AutoCorrelation method (SPAC) attract the practitioners and researchers of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology owing to their simplicity, operability in the field work, to require relatively low cost and to the sufficient consistency of their results with other methods such reliable ways as PS-logging and Standard Penetration Test. Field condition and access to measuring equipment sometimes require modifications of array pattern although the equilateral triangular array as the standard pattern has been established and is being widely used today. For example, lattice pattern roads in built up area may require L- or Plus- shape array for shallow exploration because it may be difficult there to set an equilateral triangle array of which lateral extent is few tens meters or shorter. In extreme case only linear array is possible. The difficulty due to the high cost of the measuring equipment may be relieved by pivoting array using only two seismographs simultaneously (2sSPAC). On the other hand, it is requested by the engineering society to estimate the ground condition of every housing lot individually. Centerless Circular Array method (CCA) may have a potential to meet this requirement. Some examples of these variations of the SPAC method are shown in the presentation together with those of the CCA method.
