Social representations about the conflict between the Chilean State and the Mapuche Indigenous in Chilean university students: A study with natural semantic network
This research was aimed, as a first approach to the social representations of the conflict nation-state and the Mapuche people in university students of Social Sciences at a state university in southern Chile with semantic networks using four stimulus-sentences. The results indicate that there is a perception of the situation that highlights the conflict, with a very negative view about government, the judiciary, and the media. We discuss the implications for the future professional performance of these students in the case they should work in a context of direct or indirect involvement in this conflict.
